The Department of Radiology & Medical Imaging at the University of Virginia is seeking two highly motivated and organized Medical Education Coordinators to provide administrative support to the Department’s educational programs. This Medical Education Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the Graduate Medical Education (GME) residency program(s).The Medical Education Coordinator assists in coordinating the interviewing process, tracks and coordinates educational learning, monitors program budgets, updates the education website, and prepares daily correspondence. In addition, the Medical Education Coordinator collects and compiles data and ensures that local and national reporting requirements are met. The incumbent in this position stays abreast of policies and procedures regarding residency training and program guidelines.Other responsibilities of the position include coordinating the day-to-day activities related to New Innovations (tracking evaluations, duty hours, and portfolios, blocking training schedules, and performing other related functions). In addition, the Medical Education Coordinator provides administrative support to the program directors and trainees.Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma and at least four years of administrative experience, preferably with educational programming. A bachelor’s degree may substitute for experience.In addition, qualified candidates must have proficient skills in Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.Preferred candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and knowledge of Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and (Graduate Medical Education) GME standards, policies, and regulations.
