We are a company driven to deliver a level of quality that far exceeds the expectations of our customers and we are differentiated by our flexible engagement model and commitment to business value that enables us to seamlessly evolve around our clients’ dynamic technology and business environments Description: Reporting to the Workday Financials Implementation Lead, the FST Conversion Lead provides overall leadership and hands-on support for the Conversion Team, which is sub-team of the Technical Workstream, and is responsible for managing the process to convert financial data from Client’s current legacy systems (Oracle EBS) to Workday Financials, and for directly managing and tracking the work of Oracle conversion extract developers
Responsibilities:
Lead finance process owners and subject matter experts through a discovery process to identify current state financial information and data sources (Oracle and other systems) to determine what data will be converted to Workday. Finance functional areas include (but are not limited to) the chart of accounts, financial accounting, banking, business assets, grants, gifts/endowments, accounts receivable, accounts payable and suppliers, and procurement.
Develop and maintain a master inventory of all required data conversions
Develop and maintain a detailed process and work plan for gathering and documenting conversion requirements, developing and testing conversion extracts and transformations, and performing data validations.
Develop a process for gathering detailed conversion requirements and developing data mappings from Oracle to Workday
Assign Oracle conversion extract and transformation work to conversion developers, monitor progress, and ensure that timelines are met.
Develop detailed understanding of automated conversion tools to be used on project.
Develop conversions in a repeatable, high quality manner, using standard tool sets
Ensure that all conversions are documented in a clear and auditable manner, with a clear audit trail and accessible reconciliations of Oracle legacy data to Workday data.
Identify high value opportunities to streamline and improve the quality of converted data across all finance areas, and work with functional team to identify data cleanup opportunities
Develop, document and execute detailed processes and test scenarios to validate the accuracy and quality of converted data
Identify requirements for the development of data validation reports both in Oracle, and the target system (Workday Financials)
Partner closely with the Deployment Manager to sequence all data conversions on the master cut-over plan
Partner closely with the change management function to communicate community and end user impacts of data conversions
Perform other duties as required
Required:
This resource will own and manage the process for the extraction and handoff of legacy Oracle EBS data to the Workday Financials system
They are currently in discovery phase which should wrap up around August.
This person will manage the workflow for 6 developers and work closely with another 30-40 people associated with the project
Must have strong Oracle PL/SQL skills as well as Oracle EBS
Must have large scale conversion experience - multiple conversion preferred
Must have experience with automation tools such as iLoads or something similar. They are using the implementation partner (Deloitte's) proprietary tool called Hoover.
Webmethods and Informatica preferred
Workday HCM or financials preferred
Must be willing to work onsite the majority of the time once client allows staff to return to the office.
