Exciting things are happening at Westminster Canterbury of the Blue Ridge! We are focused on creating hospitality for our fine dining restaurant, upscale bar, casual grab-and-go, open center stage kitchen, and each of our healthcare areas.
We have a great team here and you can be a part of it. Our Chefs bring their skills and knowledge to deliver a superb dining experience in each of our 11 dining venues, using local and fresh ingredients. Our bartenders are focused on the details when preparing house-made craft cocktails, and our wait staff is perfecting platinum service with the customized dining experience our residents have come to expect. Working with us is more than just a restaurant job, it is joining a team that soon will become family.
Responsibilities:
Knowledge of venue-specific menus, being able to provide ingredients, and allergens, Providing a consultative approach to the dining experience with recommendations
Ability to communicate and work part of a team to serve the dining venues, including taking orders, entering orders into a point of sales system, and delivering food
Responsible for your assigned area for assigned cleaning and practicing safe food handling procedures
Flexibility to work between various venues, including catering functions and holiday events
Qualifications:
Experience working as a server in a restaurant and/or specialty food environment with a focus on a high level of customer service
Ability to provide guidance to fellow team members, and monitoring your environment to assess problems and provide a speedy resolution
Ability to work independently and part of a team with an attention to detail, and minimal supervision
Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Able to uphold Magnetic Values (Multicultural- Accountable- Game Changer- Nurturing- Empowering- Teachable)
Requirements:
ServSafe Certification- Can acquire on site. Not required, but preferred
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent years of experience
