THE ALBEMARLE COUNTY SERVICE AUTHORITY HAS THE FOLLOWING EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY:
FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks. Performance of one or more fields: carpentry, minor electrical, minor HVAC to include heating, air and ventilation and minor plumbing. Performs general cleaning, routine station checks, minor pump station maintenance (belts, oil changes, blockages, etc.) and Confined Space work. Performs other tasks as assigned. Trains others in the use of tools and procedures to accomplish above said tasks. Oversees yearly snow removal; on-call rotation for pump stations.
Highschool Diploma or equivalent and possession of a valid driver’s permit issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia, supplemented by a Class A combination vehicles endorsement required. Building Maintenance Certification or 5 years’ experience, Confined Space Entry Supervisor, CPR/First Aid/AED Certification, NIMMS Training, 16-hour Asbestos Operations and Maintenance, VDOT Flagging Certification, Intermediate Work Zone Safety preferred.
Starting Salary Range $41,131- $49,357
