What youll do:
As a Maintenance Supervisor, youll be responsible for the following:
Maintain printers, dryers, heat presses and more
Routine equipment checkups, maintenance, and troubleshooting problems as they arise
Must have the ability and means to travel on a flexible schedule as needed
Tracking parts, maintenance, and problems using the maintenance management system (MMS)
While training will be provided on CustomInk systems and relevant programs, you must have a desire to learn new skills and have the ability to get up-to-speed quickly
Additionally, as the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for making your team as effective as possible by monitoring and optimizing your teams workflow, accuracy, and efficiency, as well as their morale. To be effective, you must understand individual needs and have the professional skills, judgment and confidence to help improve overall performance and proactively solve problems. You must also be able to motivate members of your team and reinforce their commitment to CustomInks values by creating a positive and productive atmosphere and, most importantly, leading by example model desired behavior by exhibiting our company Core Values, and setting a friendly and helpful tone through your own actions.
Also, you must have previously demonstrated a mastery of relevant equipment maintenance processes, the ability to effectively motivate yourself and work independently, and possess the aptitude for troubleshooting and repairing equipment in a production environment. Your initial success will be determined by your ownership, commitment, and ability to grasp new concepts and apply them on a daily basis, as well as overall customer satisfaction and team satisfaction through your work.
How youll be measured:
This role is critical to the continuing success of CustomInks production operations. To be successful in this role, you must be a versatile, flexible leader who is comfortable with the idea that change may come frequently as we work to improve/optimize our maintenance processes and scale our capacity. Accordingly, key measures of success for this position will be:
Uninterrupted operation of the business within the production facility
Ability to plan PMs and troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and effectively
Team Performance and Satisfaction Your teams efficiency and accuracy, progress towards stride levels and annual goals, and overall satisfaction.
Ownership, commitment and quickly applying new concepts
Excellent verbal and written communication
Compliance with all safety guidelines
Work well under pressure and are comfortable with change and complexity in dynamic environments
We will likely establish targets and quantitative metrics for the above that will evolve with our processes over time.
What were looking for:
To succeed as the Maintenance Supervisor, you must be an effective communicator, and work efficiently and independently. This role involves problem-solving and team satisfaction in order to provide internal teams with the best possible experience. Accordingly, qualified candidates will be strong in the following areas:
3-5 years of leadership experience, proven ability, and aptitude for helping others succeed
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals
Proven mechanical repair knowledge and experience
Ability to lift 50 lbs, relocate and install equipment
Ability and means to travel
Forklift and scissor lift qualified
General electrical experience
Practical working knowledge of Microsoft Office / Google docs experience a plus
Knowledge of OSHA compliance standards including Hazardous Communication & lockout/tagout
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
