The Community Idea Stations is seeking a Coordinator to help plan and execute our Charlottesville community engagement strategy. This is a full time position with benefits and reports to the Charlottesville Community Engagement Manager.

This position will provide support to the WHTJ/WVPT office by greeting the public in person and on the phone, answering questions about programming and membership, and ordering promotional materials and supplies. This position will be responsible for planning and executing a select number of events throughout the year and will support the Community Engagement Manager to plan and execute additional events, outreach and activities in the Charlottesville area. This position will also cultivate and manage volunteers in the Charlottesville area.

Successful candidates should have experience working in a non-profit organization or in a customer service related field and excellent interpersonal, organizational and writing skills. Some experience planning events is required. Candidates should have strong digital, MS Office and Google Suite skills with preferred experience in relational databases. Candidates should be willing to work as needed during day, evening, and weekend hours. This position requires a valid drivers license and the ability to lift thirty pounds.
