The Health System Physical Plant at the University of Virginia is seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanic Senior who provides expertise in the HVAC field. The incumbent will inspect, provide skilled repair, maintenance, and installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. The HVAC Mechanic Senior establishes schedules for preventive maintenance of equipment and provides technical guidance and trains lower level mechanics and/or apprentices. This role handles complex assignments and troubleshooting and serves as a senior worker in teams.
A High School diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of four years of HVAC experience at the journeyman level is required. A valid Journeyman or higher HVAC license is required, as well as a valid drivers license, with a positive points balance.
