Job Summary
Under moderate direction of the System Director Lab & Pathology Services, collects laboratory specimens by venipuncture for subsequent testing. Performs additional basic laboratory procedures under close direction of the System Director Lab & Pathology Services as proficiency is demonstrated and documented. Working Conditions, Hazards and Physical Effort
Works standard work week with overtime as necessary. Staffing may require alteration to regularly scheduled shift. Moderate to heavy physical exertion. Potential exposure to laboratory chemicals that may be toxic, caustic, or flammable. Moderate stress level. The task of this job involves exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissues. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. independently.
Minimum Qualifications or Equivalents
Education: Acquired technical or specialized skills normally associated with a training program of less than two (2) years duration beyond successful completion of High School or equivalent. Suitable experience would substitute for education.
Experience: One (1) years Laboratory experience preferred with proven competency skills. Computer skills, Medical Terminology required.
EQUIPMENT USED/SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: Automated and non-automated Laboratory instrumentation and tools.
Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations
CMA or certification as a Phlebotomist preferred.

Performs additional basic laboratory procedures under close direction of techs as proficiency is demonstrated and documented. Exhibit the F.I.R.S.T. values (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust).
Working Conditions, Hazards and Physical Effort
Works standard work week with overtime as necessary. Staffing may require alteration to regularly scheduled shift. Moderate to heavy physical exertion. Potential exposure to laboratory chemicals that may be toxic, caustic, or flammable. Moderate stress level. Numerous phone calls and interruptions. The task of this job involves exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissues. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. independently.
Minimum Qualifications or Equivalents
Education: High School Diploma or GED. CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) certification or equivalent educational background or completion of Medical Assistant program.
Experience: Computer skills, Medical Terminology preferred.
EQUIPMENT USED/SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: Works with specimen collection devices including needles, syringes, and vacutainers. Uses centrifuge and basic laboratory tools. Good patient interaction skills.

Certification by approved educational program required.

Job Summary

Working Conditions, Hazards and Physical Effort
Works in an institutional food service environment. Working environment is well-ventilated, well lighted, and temperature controlled. Must comply with safety and sanitation procedures and standards in the department. Safe work habits required. Job requires one to be in a stationary position, moving around the unit and a moderate amount of positioning objects up to 25 lbs. independently. Must be able to adjust to a moderate pace of work with time deadlines. Must possess sanitary work habits, good customer service and communication skills. Safe use of chemicals and weekend work required. Work assignments may be rotated to better serve customers and patients.
Minimum Qualifications or Equivalents
Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred. If you do not have a High School Diploma or GED the ability to pass a basic math and basic reading comprehension test is required.
Experience: Previous food service experience preferred.

Food Handler\'s Certification or Food Manager\'s Certification
