WashingtonEngineering looks to hire 3 Carpenters (min. 6 hours) / 1 Painter (min. 5 hours)
on both Saturday 25 July 2020 (2:00pm start-time) and Sunday 26 July 2020 (8:30am start-time)
on either Saturday or Sunday to skillfully perform and execute the following tasks:
1) Painter Tasks: Paint 1-bath room area & 2-bedroom Closet areas.
2) Carpentry Task: Install three interior Sapele hardwood stair treads and Jatoba hardwood stair risers.
(Each tread/riser is 1” thick and attachment to stair frame shall use 1-3/4 to 2-1/4” #8 or #10 stainless steel screws)
(Wood, Screws, and any additional bracing shall be provided. Note: each stair tread is a triangle type shape)
3) Carpentry Task: Install upper kitchen cabinets (above existing sink & kitchen counter top area)
Please understand this is not just a nail/screw in job
One: Old cabinets have already been removed
Two: Remove existing linoleum backsplash from wall/stud area behind kitchen sink and counter top
Three: Once all wall studs are exposed and exercise of strengthening existing wall-stud structure
with 2” by 2” Sapele / Jatoba hardwood.
Four: Attached ½” to ¾” thick Sapele, Birch or Marine Grade plywood to form new backsplash wall.
Five: Attach aluminum tracks (need to cut to appropriate length) to both cabinets and plywood backsplash wall.
Six: Hang individual cabinets to plywood backsplash wall.
(All plywood, lumber, aluminum railings, screws, and cabinets shall be supplied)

4) Carpentry Task: Install Sapele wood Veener (10 mm thick) on wood wall area along-side interior stairs.
(All Sapele veneer backing shall be supplied)

5) Carpentry Task: Install (via screws) necessary quarter rounds along floor board in select areas of living room and hallway
Attached (via screws) decorative 1in x 1/2in half rounds on end off all interior stair treads
(total of 10 to 12 stair treads).
(All screws, half/quarter rounds shall be supplied)
6) Carpentry Task: Using Walnut, Sapele, or Marine Plywood along with various exotic hardwood lumber,
and polycarbonate sheets create/build custom exterior doors. Exterior doors will be 32” to 36” width, 76” to 80”
height, and 1-1/4 to 1-3/8 thick.
Plywood/lumber thickness shall be either ¼”, ½”, or ¾”. Polycarbonate thickness shall be either ¼”, 3/8”, or ½”.
Non-ferrous metals which shall require cutting hold a thickness no greater than ½”.
Ferrous metals to be cut hold a thickness no greater ¼”.
(All barrel bolts/screws, plywood, lumber, polycarbonate, and ferrous/non-ferrous metal shall be supplied)
Individual must be a U.S. Citizen at least 18 years old with a valid U.S. driver’s license.
Best rate for those Carpenters and Painters who provide via email proof of trade and/or contractor licenses
within either the state of Virginia or North Carolina.
If you are a licensed contractor, please provide license number & state of license issuance.
Driver’s license will be checked prior to work for validation of any provided trade and/or contractor license
Payment shall be made in cash (mileage driven to/from site) and through Paypal, Cash-App,
or Bank Wire Transfer for daily amounts over $400.00!
Payment shall be made at end of each work day 30 minutes prior to ending time.

Carpenters please bring you own tools, face mask, work cloths, gloves, and water.
NO FACE-MASK & NO TOOLs = NO WORK!
One hour break without pay but Lunch will be provided on-site at 4 ½ hour mark.
(Besides items mentioned in work descriptions, I shall supply a 5,500 watt electric
generator for connection of your power tools.
Tools you supply such as drill bits, jig saw blades, and rotary saw blades must be up to
the task described.
