I need a skilled, general tradesman for residential remodeling and repairs work.
You MUST have transportation, tools, a working cell phone capable of texting and or emailing pictures and at least 5 years experience in general repairs or remodeling of residential or commercial properties.
Work includes
MINOR, roofing repairs,
Rough carpentry installations,
Rough plumbing installations, (CPVC and PEX)
Appliance replacements (including kitchen and utility),
Barn and stable repairs,
Painting (brush/roller and airless),
Drywall hanging (finish work is a plus),
Basic electrical experience (plugs, switches, breakers, etc)
Advanced Electrical is a plus but not necessary
Small concrete form, set & finish (up to 100sqft)
Install/replace doors & windows
Install/replace kitchen cabinets (counters by subs)
I contract residential, additions, repairs and remodeling and I need a self motivated, self starter with a keen interest in building.
Most projects are one man but I use a couple guys on a part time basis as needed to assist as needed but they are predominantly "automated workers" and you need to be able to direct them correctly.
You must have a valid drivers license and transportation for you and your tools.
Materials are generally either delivered to the site by the supplier or via a rented U-Haul which you will drive.
Criminal background:
Anything other than a felony conviction is acceptable.
A felony conviction older than 5 years is acceptable.
PAY
Pay is negotiable.
I typically start you at 15/hr, Depending on level of experience and other benefits, I can pay as high as $20/hr but you need to be as good as me to get there.
Pay is typically done via Zelle.com weekly (Similar to Paypal but better). If you're not already hooked up, you must get hooked up or you'll get a check in the mail instead. NO CASH PAYMENTS. NO DAILY PMTS.
Your status with me is as an independent contractor and as such, you'll receive a 1099 at the end of the year. There are no exceptions.
If you start with me I expect you to maintain a schedule Monday through Friday.
If you fall off the schedule, show late repeatedly or simply don't show, you'll be terminated on the spot.
You must appear everyday in jeans, a polo shirt (or similar) and work boots. (no exceptions)
I provide safety and professionalism and I expect you to as well.
