Apex Systems has an urgent need for a remote Application Engineer. The POS position is a mesh between Sys Admin/Developer. In addition to managing the servers, having some programming experience is a plus, and will benefit any individual who manages the POS servers when troubleshooting any issue to determine root causes.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5 years of experience in related it field
• IBM WebSphere
• Scripting
• SQL / PowerShell

OVERVIEW:

The below list is based on support of four (4) environments: Development, Staging, Pre-Production, and Production

1) IBM WebSphere Application experience

2) IBM MQ experience

3) Business Analytics experience

4) SQL / Powershell Experience

5) Troubleshooting Reported Issues directly from Customer, or 3rd Party Vendor

6) Manage App Dynamics for transactional flow / server status

7) Manage Automated Daily Purge cycle support

8) Manage Automated Daily RT Log Review Process support

9) Manage Automated Daily Incoming Batch Processing support

10) Manage Automated Daily Outgoing XML3, and Customer Account file processing support

11) Manage 70 servers via remote access, or automated notification/task scheduler/scripting for server statjava heap dumps

12) Maintain/Coordinate SSL and Security certs management

13) Support Outgoing/Incoming SFTP Transfer Request with outside vendor

14) Support Deployment/Upgrade of POS Software via specialized WAS integrated software (WASADMIN)

15) Support Deployment/Upgrade of BA Software via specialized WAS integrated software (WASADMIN)

16) Support Deployment/Update of BA Reports

17) Manage User Access to BA application

18) Support Deployment/Upgrade of Talend Software via specialized Talend based application

19) Create/Generate/Update Talend scripts used in 4 environments in support of ETL action from POS DBs to Talend/BA DBs

20) Support Financial Department in validation of POS monthly and individual transactions, and weekly active open banking sessions for 1,150 tills (cash registers)

21) Manage POS Shared Directory for all related POS files internal usage

22) Support monthly CRISP LINUX patching schedule for 4 environments

23) Support monthly CRISP WINDOWs patching schedule for 4 environments.
