The candidate shall provide business development support and contract execution to specific accounts/opportunities in the Federal Sector, and other markets as needed. The candidate will be responsible for supporting our competitive position, conveying our capabilities to key customers and being the expert on healthcare IT services or other federal agency/domain IT services market trends. This position will be based in our Fairfax, VA, office but will meet with partners and clients outside our facilities as needed. The successful candidate will be the lead for the federal/civilian efforts and be responsible for activities that lead to revenue generation in accordance with organizational target goals. This role will also be focused on assigned priority accounts.
Successful candidates must have a proven track record developing relationships with key customers and closing new business that involves delivering complex solutions to Federal clients. Must proactively engage customers and potential teammates with minimal guidance from senior executives. Must work well with internal corporate staff and program/project managers.

Key oversight responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Strategic Planning, business capture and proposal management and support
• Campaign and Account Planning
• Pipeline Development
• Gate Reviews and internal /external coordination
This position will be responsible for the direct quality of account coverage and ensure compliance with company metrics and Constellation West business development process to maximize win and achievement of revenue goals. This position will ensure efficient and results- oriented support to the line from early opportunity identification ID through revenue generation.

The candidate may be required to provide business development support to specific accounts/opportunities in the Federal Sector market, and other markets as needed. The candidate will be responsible for quickly understanding specific customer requirements, supporting our competitive position, including teammates, conveying our capabilities to key customers and being the expert on market trends.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership & Initiative
• Provide leadership to the Constellation West team in the form of thought leadership, coaching, innovation, business acumen, and the maturing of leads through the corporate capture processes. Must take the initiative in creating contacts and cultivating valuable client relationships which yield positive results specific domain within the federal IT, engineering, and consulting professional services contracting industry.

Pipeline Integrity
• Responsible for currency and accuracy of data maintained in sales tool to support corporate reporting, forecasting as well as prioritization of resources.

Strategy and Account Plans
• Develop agency Account Plans, ensuring the alignment of those Account Plans with the division's /company's strategic plans. In concert with the senior leadership team and line leaders
Required and Preferred Skills:
• The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of increasing sales and profitability in large organizations. As well as closing large, complex opportunities; range of experience should include winning contract vehicles and follow through on tasks of various sizes. Strategic planning experience preferred.
• Candidate must have a solid understanding of the business acquisition process and applications in the IT services, advisory and assistance support services, engineering and consulting services with relationships in the local federal markets. Candidate must have intimate knowledge of the Government marketplace and be able to identify, qualify and close both strategic $100M and above and tactical opportunities through their relationships with the customer and the integrator community. Candidate should have extensive department level and account management experience within Information Technology Services and Information Engineering Services.
• A proven record for selling complex services and solutions at senior levels of Fortune 500 companies and/or the Federal Government.
• A demonstrated record of success in a solutions-oriented, professional services environment.
• Team selling experience.
• A seasoned understanding of the marketplace/industry, competitive and account information, and the ability to team with and influence partners to serve the client.
• The ability to work within a matrix organization while balancing the client's needs with the firm's initiatives and goals.
• Strong influencing skills to work with partners and operations staff to offer the right resources and solutions to the client.
• The ability to make decisions, such as prioritizing relationships to develop, negotiating with clients (external and internal), and overcoming obstacles with minimal supervision; the ability to make independent decisions when appropriate and necessary.
• This position involves responding to clients' needs and requires the flexibility to work extended hours when required. Travel also may be required.

Education and Years of Experience:
• Requires BS/BA degree• Bachelor's Degree in an information technology/computer science discipline, marketing, business management, or other technical discipline. Master's Degree preferred.
• Requires minimum 7 years’ experience of technical experience and/or marketing/BD and sales of professional services in the government contracting industry.

Security Clearance:

Currently hold or history of holding a federal government security clearance desired.
