Together, we’ll set the technical direction for software development and integration activities in DoD as well as the private sector, develop strategy, architecture, and design for integrated enterprise solutions. Provide full life cycle process-oriented software development and integration using Agile or iterative methodologies to support the design, development, and implementation of Web-based software components. Evaluate systems design and architecture concepts in support of development projects or research new IT investment initiatives. Analyze and apply advanced methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced software applications and problems. Location: Fairfax, VA (Temporarily Remote Due to COVID)/Entirely Remote Option Job Type: Full Time Education: BS/BA degree or equivalent experience Experience: 2+ to 8+ years’ of .Net Development experience Duration: Permanent Clearance: DoD Secret Clearance Related Experience Should Include: • Must have a good understanding of software development lifecycle and the tools that support it, source control, and change tracking. • Programming skills across the Microsoft Stack: ASP.NET, ASP.Net MVC, C#, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML/CSS, T-SQL, SQL Server • Experience with debugging tools (log2console, F12, sql server profiler). • Experience with HTML5 (to include SPAs) and latest javascript libraries ( JQuery, Bootstrap, etc.) is a must. • Experience with Visual Studio, SSMS, and any other tool compatible with this stack. • Working knowledge and experience with object-oriented design and programming. • Solid understanding of data modeling and database programming (T-SQL). • Knowledge of source code versioning techniques in the context of SVN, Git, or TFS. • Good understanding of ORM frameworks. • Understanding of design patterns, database performance tuning techniques, and the tools to accomplish them. • Solid understanding of functional programming techniques (LINQ). • Good understanding of and experience with patterns applicable to large amounts of data, such as efficient paging and caching. • Experience with unit testing framework. Job Duties: • Implement software features across all layers of the Microsoft technology stack. • Comfortable implementing user interface, as well as data model and layers in between. • Generate task descriptions and track derived requirements in project tracking tool.
