Summit Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Junior Systems Administrator for a potential government contract. The successful candidate will perform day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for complex operating systems, workstations, and servers. You must be a US Citizen as this is a government position that requires a Secret security clearance. This position is located on-site in Ft. Lee, Virginia. Responsibilities:
Schedule installations, upgrades, and maintenance in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
Active Directory group policy, users, and groups administration.
Ensure workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions of varying complexities.
Application installation, deployment and monitoring according to customer requirements
Adhere to local configuration management policies and procedures.
Regular review of system logs in order to identify and resolve any system, application, or security issues.
Ability to complete job requirements within time constraints.
Required Skills and Experience:
At least six years of designing and deploying systems in a Microsoft Windows environment.
A minimum of two years of client support working in current MS Windows based environment.
Experience working in a Non-classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNET) environment.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field of study, or at least six years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
