Silverbrook Kennels located on over 10 park-like acres in the Fredericksburg/Stafford area is in search of candidates to fill the position of Kennel Manager.

Silverbrook Kennels is a top quality dog boarding and training facility. The right candidate will provide leadership, and daily supervision and direction to our Kennel Staff. This person will be responsible for ensuring that the facility is clean and well organized. Candidate will make the safety and comfort of dogs and staff a priority.
Duties include:
Schedule, supervise and train staff to ensure facility is clean, organized and well maintained
Examine and observe animals to detect signs of illness, disease, or injury.
Ensure that dogs are fed, watered and aired according to schedules and feeding instructions.
Mix food, liquid formulas, medications, or food supplements according to instructions
Collect and record information such as weight, physical condition, treatments received, medications given
Coordinate day care and exercise programs to ensure dogs have superior experiences
Respond to questions from clients, and provide information about our programs and services
Performs office administration including checking clients in/out, scheduling appointments
Create in-house marketing and informational materials (flyers, brochure etc.)
Assist with the administration and scheduling of our obedience training program
Must have strong communication and organizational skills
Outstanding customer service experience is required
Manage supply inventory
Assist with ensuring facility is well maintained and safe
Assist General Manager in budgeting, payroll and financial management
Collaborates with General Manager to support revenue growth and new lines of business
Starting Hourly Rate is $14.00 - $15.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. This is a 40 hour per week position. Must be at least 18 years old. Shifts will vary. Morning and night shifts required. Weekends and Holidays are required.
