Payne Trucking has an opening for an experienced Transportation Broker to help grow our dry van division by coordinating deliveries throughout the Eastern Coast of the US, utilizing internal resources and external sub-contractors in the most efficient and cost effective manner available. We are looking for a dedicated employee to help deliver top notch service to our drivers, owner operators and sub-contractors.
Responsibilities:
Communicate haul requests to drivers and contractors via offered communication methods
Understand driver and vehicle capability to perform the requested haul
Promptly communicate any delays, issues, or concerns with completing the requested haul
Ensure manifest integrity for all loads
Provide leadership, motivation and education for personnel directly involved with delivery operations
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or equivalent 2 years office experience in the transportation field
Preferably at least 1 year of dispatcher experience, and
At least 1 year of Load Planner experience
Strong PC knowledge, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills are required
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving abilities
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to answer several phone calls at a time
