Join the Mechanic Team at CDS Tractor Trailer School in Woodford, Virginia. We are currently seeking heavy-duty travel truck mechanics to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment including Class 8 trucks and trailers. We operate as a Team and have a great shop environment. Our Team travels to our training centers in Virginia. The position includes:

Job Responsibilities
Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
Perform general and detailed repair on truck engines and components.
Perform general and detailed repair on semi-trailer and components.
Have a working knowledge of electrical computer systems, including diagnostics and programming.
Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
Install and replace: injectors, pistons liners, camshafts, cylinder heads, rod, and main bearings, oil pans, clutches, fan hubs, DOC & DPF units, differentials, fifth wheels, chassis components, brakes, HVAC system, change and replace transmissions and other parts of the operating system.
Observe and listen to the vehicle in operation to determine malfunction and plan work procedures.
Lubricate moving parts and drive repaired vehicles to verify conformance to specifications.
Keep abreast of technical bulletins.
Qualifications
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a technician position demonstrating knowledge of both gasoline and diesel-powered equipment diagnosis and repair.
Ability to work with limited supervision.
Able to travel to multiple locations within a 3-hour service area in a company-supplied vehicle.
Commercial Drivers License is a plus but not required. A Valid Drivers License is required.
Basic hand tools, impact and sockets, and toolbox are required.
