The Dining Services Server is responsible for providing prompt and accurate service to residents and guests in the dining venues at National Lutheran Communities.
Greets residents/guests cordially and takes their order within a timeframe of 5 minutes after they have been seated
Reviews menus with customers and present any special items of the day
Takes accurate food and beverage orders at the table
Retrieves food orders from the kitchen and complete plate preparation as specified on plate garnishment/presentation guidelines
Serves complete meal to all residents/guests in the dining room in a timely fashion
Stocks service station prior to meal service completely and correctly
Performs side work correctly as assigned according to the side work procedure guidelines and to the level required on the sanitation checklist
Clears dirty dishes in a timely manner from all tables
Utilizes the point of sale (POS) system to place all food orders and track resident meals
Reports any accidents and/or incidents to the Coach on duty or their designee immediately
Job Qualifications:
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Must have the ability to receive and follow instructions, and communicate clearly with residents, guests and other staff members
Must have manual dexterity
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Experience in high volume meal service is preferred
Computer skills helpful, with the ability to learn and use proprietary software as required
Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
