The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for the implementation of person-centered plans through teaching and assisting the people we support in a community based residential setting, or in one of our Adult Activity Program settings. DSP's maintain required documentation and reporting, assist with personal care as needed, foster a warm and caring home environment and initiate in-home and community based recreation activities. A high school diploma or equivalent is required and, as always, we seek creative innovative individuals with an eye towards providing the greatest quality of life possible for the people we support.

We are looking for a Senior Direct Support Professional to use best practices within a community-based residential setting to teach individuals with disabilities how to acquire the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social skills needed to live as independently as possible.

Assist individuals with daily living skills and the development of independent community skills.

Accurately complete all in-house documentation and maintain case notes.

Assist in the development of a weekly schedule for each consumer to maximize their time spent in the community.

Complete training with individuals towards achieving Individual Service Plans (ISP) goals.

Administer medication(s), while monitoring and documenting the health and medical needs of the individuals.

Accompany individual to and from appointments and activities.

Maintain inventory and ensures adequate supply of groceries and household items.

Residential Services:

Senior Direct Support Professional (Stevens Varnum program.) Full-time Full-time, 40 hours per week. Tues. 10a-6p, Weds. 3-11p, Th. 10a-6p, Fri. & Sat. 3-11p.
