Position Summary:
Shenandoah Growers, Inc. "SGI" is actively hiring five teammates for our Bio Farm location. Harvester Associates are an entry-level position that works in a fast-paced environment and hot environment. The working temperature is between 89 and 110 Degrees Fahrenheit. The teammate in this position stands for periods of 8+ hours during a regular workday. The Harvesting Associate is responsible for cleaning, trimming, cutting & packaging assigned herbs at the harvesting line. This position requires the Harvesting Associate to work with his/her hands and may use scissors to cut & clean the herbs when necessary.
Essential Job Functions:
Identifies; herbs, sleeves and other work equipment
Utilizes Companys product effectively to maximize yields while maintaining high-quality standards
Meets the work sites hourly quota after completing one week of training in packing the Companys herbs
Communicates with the Line Coordinator to meet production goals
Embraces diversity well and can work closely with others as needed
Communicates effectively with all personnel
Supports Food Safety programs and adheres to Companys procedures and policies
Follows department training guidelines, best practices, and operating procedures
Maintains an organized working area
Wears personal protective equipment when it is necessary to ensure the Companys compliance
Adapts well to changes within the assigned department and follows directions from management
Reports any observed safety hazards to the immediate Supervisor
Other duties may be assigned by management
Minimum Qualifications:
Adapts to a hot environment
Good attendance
ÂPreferred Qualifications:
Production or manufacturing setting experience
1 Year of production or manufacturing setting experience
Bilingual, English & Spanish
Experience with Food Safety programs
Strong organization skills
