Cloud Cabin Arts specializes in quality cabinetry and woodworking, custom-designed from the ground up. We are currently looking for a motivated individual seeking employment to fill the position of cabinetmaker/woodworker. Must be available to work at the shop in Waynesboro 40 hours a week, Tuesday-Saturday. Overtime may be required periodically, as well as occasional schedule flexibility for installations.

The candidate must have a working knowledge of common woodworking equipment and practices, would be skilled and flexible enough to work both as a team and individually without supervision, and would be proactive in the efficient execution of the daily tasks as well as maintaining and improving shop workflow. A self-motivated individual that strives for continuous success and growth will do well here and will likely be able to rise to new positions as the company grows.

This is a mid to advanced-level position; beginners/entry-level individuals will not be considered at this time and would be encouraged to reach back out in a year or so.

Job duties and responsibilities:

Understand job and project requirements to a degree that allows you to be an active part in all steps of the process of fabricating and installing custom cabinets and woodworking projects

Maintain shop cleanliness

Setup, use, maintain, and repair machines and tools as required, including but not limited to: bandsaw, jointer, planer, shaper, table saw, miter saw, routers, nail guns, sanders, finishing equipment

Understand and demonstrate proper safety procedures

Work quickly and efficiently both as a team and individually to meet project requirements

Adapt and take on new responsibilities as projects and company growth require

Essential job qualifications include:

Ability to read and follow drawings, cutlists and other documents for fabrication

Ability to lift 50+ pounds

Valid drivers license and transportation

Ability to work quickly and efficiently with and without instruction

3 years professional experience in cabinet or woodworking shop. Will also consider trade school or equivalent personal experience (likely at least 6+ years)

Ability to problem-solve based on project documentation and experience

Desirable, but not essential, job qualifications include:

Experience in supervision, project management, CAD, CNC programming and operation

Management and business organizational skills

Forklift certification

Contractors or other professional licensing

As a small business, operations are still under development and will likely always require flexibility of the team, especially considering the custom nature of the work. Because of this, the above is not meant to be a complete list of duties and responsibilities. In addition, promotion from within will be preferred as new positions open within the company. Those who show interest and skills in a particular area will be considered first.

Pay will be based on experience. Paid national holidays will be provided after 6 months and 1 week paid vacation will be provided after 1 year.
