Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of 12-15 years of hands-on experience in the implementation and administration of complex, multi-location, multi-vendor, converged voice/data networks in a geographically distributed environment.
  • CCNA, CCNP certification required. CCIE is highly desired.
    Strong experience with a broad range of Cisco & Nexus products, including, but not limited to, Cisco IOS, NX-OS, CUCM, Unity Connection, ISE, IPCC, and Cisco phones.
  • Solid understanding of internetworking routing protocols & technologies (TCP/IP, MPLS, VPLS, DMVPN, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, VRRP, HSRP, NHRP).
  • Strong data center experience and experience with Cisco routers (Cisco ISR, ASR series) & switches including but not limited to 35xx, 37xx, 38xx, 45xx, 65xx, Nexus 9xxx, 7xxx, 6xxx, 5xxx, 2xxx & 1xxx series.
  • Hands-on experience with the implementation and use of network monitoring, fault management and performance analysis tools, including Syslog, SNMP, NetBrain, Solar winds etc.Experience with load balancing technologies such as Coyote Point, F5 LTM and Big IP is a plus.
  • Experience with SD-WAN.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to think outside the box
  • Experience developing and implementing QoS in a converged voice/video/data network.
  • Experience with NAC/NAP technologies such as Microsoft or Cisco ISE is a plus.
  • Experience in installing, configuring and optimizing VOIP systems is highly desired.
  • Significant experience with network security concepts, best practices, and technologies including, but not limited, to SSH, IPSec, RADIUS, TACACS, firewall policies, and 802.1x;
    Significant experience with site to site VPN technologies is a must.
  • Experience with client to site VPN technologies as well as Extreme, Juniper, Palo Alto & TMG firewalls is desired.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Back-Office technologies, including, but not limited to Active Directory, IIS, Exchange, and other components.


Responsibilities

This position will be part of a team of network engineers operating in a converged IP environment, responsible for the design, implementation, enhancement, optimization, and maintenance of the enterprise LAN/WAN/VoIP & Telco infrastructure. The incumbent is expected to act as a lead network engineer on various technical projects including but not limited to:

Data center network design and build out

Remote site network architecture designs, build out and hardware refreshes.

Support the roll out of enterprise VoIP

Support network integration activities

  • The incumbent is also expected to:
  • Interface with customers, vendors, and other technical staff to analyze business and technical requirements relating to internal as well as customer network and systems infrastructure.
  • Assist in evaluating current and emerging network technologies, conduct technical assessments, and make recommendations to Information Technology managers.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills in addition to the ability to effectively manage and prioritize individual projects and tasks.
  • Possess superior written and oral communication skills. Solid vendor management skills (circuit installation/troubleshooting, product/circuit procurement) are required.
  • Position may require occasional travel to other corporate locations across the U.S.
  • Address and resolve complex technical problems relating to the installation and upgrade of local and regionally distributed network hardware and systems.
  • This position will require occasional after-hours, weekend and holiday work. Successful candidate must be flexible, with the ability to work independently as a project lead, part of the team or individual basis.

Colorado Salary Minimum: $117,291.20
Colorado Salary Maximum:$250,723.20
