At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Mission Software Developer supporting the customer, you will be trusted to work in a Research and Development environment developing mission centric code. In this role, a typical day will include:

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Demonstrated experience as a SharePoint administrator

Demonstrated experience working with infrastructure engineers across multiple disciplines

Experience developing project briefings, conceptual whitepapers, program planning, and other foundation documents.

Must be process-oriented, conceptually driven, and possess the ability to think strategically and work collaboratively in a highly technical setting; must possess strong interpersonal, problem solving and organization skills, working both independently and in a team environment

Direct experience with Microsoft Project or other scheduling tools

Experience coordinating & maintaining project schedules.

Demonstrated experience facilitating and conducting formal and/or informal meetings to include briefings with people at various levels of the management chain

Demonstrated experience working seamlessly with contractors of other organizations as well as government personnel in technical and non-technical roles, customers and program managers

Demonstrated experience managing workload effectively

Demonstrated experience gathering and organizing information, writing Program documentation in accordance with PMF, ITIL, and other System Engineering guidelines

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Experience working with and across all levels of the organization to facilitate, collaborate and coordinate activities, ensuring that proper documentation, minutes and decisions are captured and published; experience working with the organization to gather and brief metrics, and maintain organizational schedules; experience working with organizations to improve and streamline processes and procedures to gain efficiency and improve mission support

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 15+ years of experience

Description:

  • Work independently and manage multiple task assignments
  • Develop project briefings, conceptual whitepapers, program planning and other foundational documents
  • Maintain the organization’s SharePoint site
  • Coordinate and maintain project schedules
  • Facilitate and conduct formal and informal meetings that will include people at various levels within the organization
  • Point out inconsistencies, problems and points of contention with the process
  • Demonstrate political savvy when dealing with delicate and controversial topics
  • Gather and organize information to create program documentation
  • Work across the organization to establish, maintain, and streamline processes and procedures to support engineering and O&M activities of systems, applications, and infrastructure components
  • Facilitate various boards, meetings, and Technical Exchange Meetings (TEM) with established agendas, and support the triage of incidents, service requests and requirements
  • Provide status updates and brief at various boards ensuring that activities, actions, and ad-hoc requests are getting tracked
  • Troubleshoot system and operational issues as they arise
  • Communicate details of incident, change and problem tickets to senior staff during daily standup and ad hoc meetings
  • Generate metrics reports
  • Provide superior customer service and support
