Navient CorporationThe VP, Investor Relations will lead interactions with the financial investment community, including current shareholders, potential shareholders, rating agencies and various research analysts. Develops and maintains a proactive and structured investor relations strategy built around a clear and credible investment thesis, the purpose of which is to compel existing shareholders to remain invested in the company and to attract new shareholders. This includes formal executive presentations, quarterly earnings reports and additional communications such as press releases, as necessary. The incumbent acts as a Company Spokesperson having regular communications with the Company’s shareholders. As such, the performance of this role can have a direct and immediate impact on the Company’s value as measured by its stock price. Provides marketplace information and intelligence and recommends financial communication strategies to Executive Management Team.This position is currently hybrid and based out of our Herndon, VA location and will require working several days a week on-site in our Herndon office.Key Responsibilities: Manage investor base and research new investor contacts

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

15+ years in a financial background

10+ years experience in a position with external interfaces

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Comprehensive knowledge of:

United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Finance, capital markets and securities regulations

Proven skills in:Understanding and articulating financial data

Analyzing financial capabilities

Managing complex situations requiring a well-developed sense of strategy, timing, financial and accounting skills.

Microsoft PowerPoint for internal, Board, and external presentations.
