LYNCHBURG BEACON OF HOPE, a 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization based in Lynchburg, Virginia, seeks to inspire and empower Lynchburg City Schools (LCS) students to achieve postsecondary goals by providing the tools, knowledge and financial resources essential for success. To achieve this mission, LYNCHBURG BEACON OF HOPE (LBoH) is committed to seeing Lynchburg City School students to and through their post-secondary education, whether it be a four-year college, community college, industry-recognized technical certification programs, education through military service, or workforce training. The mission of creating and maintaining hope, accessibility, and affordability is met through LBoHs unique privately-funded High School Future Centers, our K-5 Kids to College Program, the Middle School Heroes Programs and 8th Grade College Readiness Symposium, the newly created Office of College Success and CVCC Future Center, and our Commonwealth and Stay Close, Go Far Scholarship Programs.
