Altavista is looking for Down Stream Production Operators. This position is 2nd shift from 7p-7am, every other weekend required. Position pays 11.00hr.This is a 2nd Shift Position. 7pm-7am rotating days. Every Other Weekend is required. Pay Rate: $11.00/hour. Paid Weekly. Medical, Dental and Vision Coverage options are available.Production Operator Duties include:Understands, follows and enforces all established policies, procedures and recognized practicesParticipate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assignedVisually inspect finish product for defects and ensure that cases are properly sealedPack bottles in accordance to the customer specificationClear jams and restart shut off/on trimmer in safe mannerNotify supervisor or lead of potential problems with finished product and/or machineryDe-label and grind bottles as necessary, checking for contamination before frindingStrapping, trying stacking, and orienting cases and unites properly in correct unit load patter to satisfy customer requestMaintain hot/colds glue tanks by keeping fullPerform fiber tear checks to ensure proper glue application and patternNotify the appropriate coworker forklift driver or assignee when supplies at the machine need to be replenishedCommunicate with incoming shift or line replacement on any problems with quality, machine, and packing configurationsAssist with rework and held ware ensure effective completionRestart, start, stop, and clears all downstream equipment as requiredPrevious manufacturing experience is required.Qualifications:Production Operators are required to interact with managers, employees, vendors, and customers. Therefore, the following skills and proficiency are also essential requirements of the position:Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.Computer usage and typing skills are essentialExcellent verbal and writer communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customersMust be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and profiding exemplary customer service.Communicates effectively: conveys facts and information clearly both verbally and orally.Collaborates well with others proactively contributes to the group objectives; volunteers to help othersHigh School Diploma or EquivalentPre-employment drug screen is required for consideration of employmentAll candidates are subject to pre-employment background check (a conviction record will not necessarily prevent your from being employed.
