Local Forest Manufacture Company is looking for a NIGHT OWL for 3rd shift! Pay is $11-$13 an hour.RESPONSIBILITIES:Sets up machine per individual job instructions by manager:Runs machine at optimal speed, established by job instructions and meets production standardsPerforms adjustments on machine to ensure optimal productivityLoads components onto machine per job instructionsPerforms regular quality checks on all components and finished packages to ensure quality standards are metRe-calibrates and cleans the equipment as requiredCommunicates job status and production concerns/issues during shift transition to ensure optimal productivity for following shiftEnsures machine is running at maximum productivity per job specifications and quality standards are metNotifies Lead Operator of component quality issuesWorks with Lead Operator and Assistant Operator to resolve quality concernsPerforms regular quality checks during production of a jobCommunicates maintenance concerns/issues to supervisors and maintenance staff Ensures safety practices are followedPerforms stretching exercises, prior to beginning of shiftWears appropriate personal protective gear, if necessaryUses company provided tools and resources to ensure optimal ergonomicsEnsures stock staging area is kept organizedEnsures equipment area is kept clean and components are in staging areaEnsures component boxes and mail trays are out of workflow areaSweeps floor, as necessary Cleans equipment as required Completes appropriate production and time reports, as assigned Other duties as assigned by SupervisorQualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredMinimum of six months experience running production equipment.Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, to include bending, stooping, repetitive motion, standing for long periods of time, moving up to 15 pounds regularly and lifting up to 45 pounds intermittentlyAbility to read and interpret job instructionsAbility to work with computerized systemsAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to work a flexible schedule including overtime and weekendsAbility to monitor production equipment for speed and qualityAbility to recognize sequential orderKnowledge of mechanical operations of equipmentKnowledge of production processesKnowledge of computers Basic knowledge of postal guidelines for sorted mail Skilled in operating equipmentPREFERRED Machine Operation Experience:saddle sticher, rotary feeder, shuttle feeder, perfect binder, muller martini,kolbus,goss,burhs,inline,affixing,bb700,S1,S2, book binder, selective, binder, inkjet, match mail, perfect match, xijetElwood Staffing is an Equal Opportunity Employer and we celebrate diversity at all levels of our organization.Pre-employment drug screen is required for consideration of employmentApplicant may be subject to a background check.A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.You will be required to complete and submit a questionnaire.We will consider your age at the time of the offense, when the offense occurred, the seriousness and the nature of the offense, as well as any rehabilitation to determine your employ-ability.If interested in this position, please apply by using one of the Following Options: Register on www.elwoodjobs.com [http://www.elwoodjobs.com/] Apply in Person: 1019 Vista Park Drive, Ste B, Forest VA 24551.
