Busy Manufacturing Plant in Lynchburg VA is in need of Roller Fabricator to join their 2nd Shift Team. Roller Fabricators needed for 2nd shift (3:30PM to 2AM). Overtime and some weekend work is required. Paid Weekly. Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage options are available as well.Job description and duties:Fabricate and assemble standardized mechanical units, i.e. rollers having close tolerances and operating requirements.Receive written and verbal instruction from supervisor or lead-man for a wide variety of repetitive work.Fabricate and assemble wide varieties of standard and special rollers.Must be able to identify various tube gauges and bearing type.Set up and operate a wide variety of shop equipment and machinery including bearing press, boring machine, cut-off saw, tub cutter, tube straighten, pincher, and grinder.Must utilize basic shop math, including fractions, and be able to read a tape measure.Perform minor maintenance as required.Perform quarterly inventory as required.Crate and band rollers for shipping and storage.Load and unload trucks as required.Operate fork truck and crane/hoist to move and relocate materials and product.Notify supervisor, or coordinator, of any unusual conditions. Along with material and shop equipment shortages.Meet and maintain acceptable time and work production standards.Keep immediate work area clean and orderly.Work in accordance with established safety policies.Qualifications:Understand and follow written instructions.Ability to adapt to rotating assignments, with a positive attitude, producing great resultsAbility to lift up to 75lbs - Along with the ability to stand and move for long periods of timeMust have the physical skills, and ability, to work a flexible schedule around frequently changing production demands.Previous Manufacturing, Assembly and Fabrication experience is neededPre-employment drug screen is required as condition of employmentAll candidates are subject to a pre-employment background record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
