Porters Group Lynchburg is seeking Shipping/Receiving Coordinator for our 1st shift operation. $14 - $15 per hour based on experience. 1-2 years knowledge and working experience in shipping and receiving required.
Position Summary:
Coordinate the activities of receiving, storing, shipping and daily pick up of materials. Maintain/update the inventory control system and insure accurate product inventory. To assist with other issues necessary for the successful operation of the facility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Shipping
Contact and schedule carriers.
Prepare bill of lading
Input shipping information into the system via PC.
Load carrier
Maintain data integrity
Prepare material for shipping using required techniques
Receiving
Verify package quantities
Inspect parts
Prepare receiving reports
Input receiving information into the system via PC
Prepare damage claims
Warehouse Pulls/Inventory
Manage inventory levels daily
Maintain on hand levels
Additional Requirements:
Must have computer experience & be familiar with Excel
Must have excellent work ethic and be self-motivated, utilizing time wisely
Must be able to work flexible & extended hours if needed
Must be able to multi-task and be fast paced to achieve results
Must be able to communicate effectively, giving clear verbal expectations and directions.
