To explore the heritage of Pacific Life and learn more about our history, visit www.pl150years.com.Currently, we are seeking a talented Master Electrician to support our Life Insurance Division in Lynchburg, VA.POSITION SUMMARY:The Master Electrician performs as part of a multi-craft team providing wiring and a variety of other maintenance activities for repairs, troubleshooting, installation, preventive maintenance, and testing of equipment, buildings, and utility systems. Provides assistance with electrical systems additions or modifications on secondary circuits. Works on secondary electrical systems that are 1000 volts and below. Provides planning and execution of construction, renovation, and capital projects.ÂStrong electrical, Commercial/Industrial/Maintenance experience required, mechanically inclined, heating and air conditioning experience.Problem solving and planning skills.Be able to install and repair IP cameras, card readers, mag locks, electric strikes, contacts and motion detectors.Establish preventive/predictive maintenance processes and schedules.Must be able to maintain Generac generators, UPSs, STSs, ATSs, and PDUs.To maintain the building electrical systems and assist in troubleshooting and repairs to all other critical building systems.Repair electrical services, lights, ballasts, VSDs, VAVs, and MCCs.Ability to work on ladders, lift and move heavy equipment up to 100 lbs. and perform in awkward situations and positions.Ability to work overtime when required.Share 24-hour on-call service.Snow removal of sidewalks, stairs and parking lots.Leads, guides, and/or trains other electricians in applicable procedures and techniques.Reads, employs, and updates electrical panel schedules.Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned and assists with all trades.FACTORS FOR SUCCESS:High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.Masters electrician's card recognized by the State of Virginia.Valid Virginia driver's license.Masters electrician's card recognized by the State of Virginia.Valid Virginia driver's license.Physical Demands (Heavy): Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or a negligible up to 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Work is both inside and outside.Subject to hazards from noise, dust, electrical shock, and falls.Extensive computer knowledge required, various hand and power tools, and electrical test equipment.Join the Pacific Life team and watch your career grow!
