If this sounds like the choice you want to make, then choose MITRE—and make a difference with us.The Defense Intelligence Division is seeking a senior intelligence professional to plan, develop, and guide MITRE’s intelligence support to the Combatant Commands and other warfighting entities and organizations. The selectee will be responsible for the development and execution of MITRE’s strategic direction in support of the Combatant Command’s Intelligence Components; planning and performing outreach and sponsor engagement; assisting with ongoing unique actions, activities and tasks; and partnering across MITRE with other Division Leaders and Department Heads to achieve Command intelligence mission success.Key Functions:

Identify major trends in the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community and within the Defense Intelligence Agency that contribute to the development and execution of the missions of the Intelligence Directorates/JIOCs of the Combatant Commands.

Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the intelligence needs of the Combatant Commands, and the CCMD missions driving those requirements.

Understand Defense Intelligence, Defense Intelligence Agency, and Combatant Command operational and intelligence requirements, to seek opportunities for MITRE to facilitate the development of mutually beneficial solutions, bridge potential solutions between organizations, and focus MITRE expertise toward solving the Command’s most pressing intelligence challenges.

Maintain an understanding of the supporting projects, tasks and activities of on-site MITRE personnel at each of the Commands and at DIA. Assess and develop opportunities for those efforts to address the requirements of others, and for our internal MITRE team to leverage efforts across organizations.

Facilitate communication, coordination, and understanding across MITRE Defense Intelligence Analysis, Collection, Technical Intelligence, and Innovation focus areas to address defense intelligence community needs

Develop, maintain, and proactively manage sponsor and stakeholder relationships and identify and follow-up on new work opportunities.

Work with other MITRE division to define and develop a work plan that contributes to the desired strategic outcomes of the Command Intelligence Directors.

Ensure activities, deliverables and engagements are appropriately exposed to other MITRE leaders, and proactively seek opportunities for collaboration.

Ensure outcomes and accomplishments are well understood by everyone associated with this mission.

BS and 7 years of related experience including 4 years of leadership experience

Required Qualifications:

A proven leadership track record of accomplishment in support of the Defense Policy, Acquisition, Warfighting or Intelligence Communities.

Must be a US citizen and hold, and be able to maintain, a TS/SCI clearance

Experience in supporting the Combatant Commands and the Defense Intelligence Community.

Superb communication skills (both oral and written) along with an ability to foster strong relationships with sponsors.

Preferred Qualifications:

A demonstrated ability to exercise and apply strategic and analytical thinking

A previous assignment working directly on a military operational staff (government/military/contractor role) at the Combatant Command or sub-unified command level

A background in intelligence planning, collection, exploitation and/or dissemination

A self-starter with an ability to quickly prioritize ad-hoc tasking and to execute or delegate as appropriate.

Experience representing the government, industry or academia to General Officer/Flag Officer and SES level personnel
