McLean 2 (19052), United States of America, McLean, VirginiaAt Capital One, we’re building a leading information-based technology company. Still founder-led by Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Richard Fairbank, Capital One is on a mission to help our customers succeed by bringing ingenuity, simplicity, and humanity to banking. We measure our efforts by the success our customers enjoy and the advocacy they exhibit. We are succeeding because they are succeeding.Guided by our shared values, we thrive in an environment where collaboration and openness are valued. We believe that innovation is powered by perspective and that teamwork and respect for each other lead to superior results. We elevate each other and obsess about doing the right thing. Our associates serve with humility and a deep respect for their responsibility in helping our customers achieve their goals and realize their dreams. Together, we are on a quest to change banking for good.Senior Director, HR Consulting - US CardSenior Director, Human Resources Consultant - US CardLocation - McLean, VA or Richmond, VAAre you ready to stretch yourself into something bigger, at a company that’s recognized as an HR leader? Now maybe you’re starting to ponder, “Could I imagine myself working at a BANK?” Capital One is not an ordinary bank, and hopefully we have captured your attention because here’s where we get to the good stuff. This is what you can expect to do when you come work at Capital One as a Senior Director, HR Consulting!

Think—about how best to help our leaders grow their teams. Use coaching, strategic thinking and influence to deliver change and partner with these leaders to support their businesses. Challenge them to unleash their inner creativity, leadership and collaboration skills to facilitate the design and development of products for our customers.

Be the go-to person for all things related to people strategy and overall team morale. Know your teams, talk to your clients, recommend ways to make things better, negotiate on complex issues, guide and influence your leaders and associates in directions they couldn’t possibly have imagined before you arrived.

Collaborate across the company with other HR consultants and teams – this is the only way we’ll continue to grow together —the stratification and hoarding of ideas are for companies that value independent contributions over collaboration (independent contributions are great, but we value collaboration more). Innovate and find ways to best serve our customers by bringing ingenuity, simplicity and humanity to everything you do.

Work with our HR specialty teams on issues your clients need assistance with, consult on topics such as compensation, associate relations and recruiting. You’ll also partner to facilitate special integrations or organizational improvements that happen naturally in changing environments.
