Job Description

POSITION

SUMMARY:

Provides case management, outreach and recruitment efforts, education, and support to clients. Coordinates with a wide range of community partners and resources and engaging them in the recruitment process by developing referral methods that benefit both parties. Engages customers in developing and reaching realistic and achievable long- and short-term goals, engaging them in assessing their needs and strengths and supporting them in taking actions to reach their goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Operates within training and employment programs for designated service area to ensure successful completion of designated goals with customers.

2. Recommends improvement to services.

3. Performs quality and compliance audits as well as peerudits.

4. Serves as subject matter expert for program issues and customer record database problems.

5. Provides information and education to the community and employers about available Agency programs. This can be done in-person, by telephone or a group presentation format.

6. Recruits possible customers and identifies qualified participants.

7. Administers and evaluates assessments to determine barriers, needs, strengths and weaknesses as well as identify career goals.

8. Completes the enrollment process.

9. Develops and maintains relationships with training providers.

10. Always maintains confidentiality.

11. Provides services to eligible clients including training, assisting with job searches, providing job readiness activities and resume writing.

12. Provides career counseling including helping to set realistic employability goals.

13. Creates and maintains records including attendance reports and financial tracking.

14. Prepares and reviews training contracts. Monitors contracts to budget.

15. Performs case management duties including monitoring and documenting client progress.

16. Builds strong partnerships with local agencies/members to gain employment opportunities for clients.

17. Assists clients in finding and benefiting from community resources. Partners with other resource agencies.

18. May perform general office administrative work including completing and submitting client invoices, purchases orders, vouchers etc.

19. Attends workshops and conferences as deemed necessary by supervisor.

20. Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position directly supervises others. This may include participation in the recruitment/selection process for new hires, employee training, onboarding, conducting performance coaching/evaluation, compensation administration, delegation of duties and conflict resolution. Promotes an environment of teamwork and cooperation and is accessible to employees.

Qualifications

ROLE QUALIFICATIONS:


Education and Experience Requirements

A Bachelor's Degree is required.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree with written approval in the form of a waiver.
Minimum of 2 years of experience.
Must have own transportation, a valid driver’s license, and vehicle insurance.


Skills and Abilities


Microsoft Office products and on-line client management systems.
Bilingual ability is a bonus.
