Broyles and Associates, PC, a structural engineering firm, is currently looking for a licensed structural engineer (PE) to join our firm in a full-time position. Three to five years’ experience in the consulting engineering field is preferable. The engineer will work with our structural AutoCAD and Revit technicians to develop contract documents, as well as other engineering services.

OVERVIEW:

Broyles and Associates, P.C. is currently seeking exceptional Structural Engineers of all experience levels that share our corporate vision, mission and values. Our office location is in Chesapeake, VA. Responsibilities include planning and designing structural systems for building construction including steel, concrete, and masonry. The primary focus will be on structural designs from conceptual level through construction documents and construction administration. This role also includes potential to travel for site surveys and investigations to facilitate the structural designs, and to meet with clients and external team members during the design process. The ideal candidate will also have demonstrated interpersonal skills through experience interfacing with engineers, architects, and others of varying technical abilities. The ability to work as part of a team is vital.

REQUIREMENTS:

 US Citizen

 Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis

 Proficiency with Structural Engineering software to include AutoCAD and/or Revit

 Experience in designing steel, concrete, and masonry buildings

 A Registered Professional Engineer (PE)

 Experience in evaluation and renovation of existing buildings

 Understanding of finite element analysis
