I.E. One individual will live on location when on rotation, each rotation will average 90 days. When not on rotation individual will be stationed in Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek, in Norfolk, VA.Selected candidate will serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for problem resolution and liaison with Government and Diesel Engine Inspectors. Will ensure contract deliverables are submitted in an accurately and timely manner. Will be given the authority to make decisions relating to Expeditionary Equipment Readiness Services Support program.Responsibilities: Repairs, troubleshooting and material assessment of CRF 78-foot patrol boats (MKVI) equipment in accordance with OEM specifications for make and model to include but not limited to: Hamilton Waterjet Model HM651: Recommended Hamilton Jet Marine Propulsion Units Product Manual MTU Diesel Engine or Detroit Diesel Engine: Recommended MTU 16V2000 M94 Diesel Engine Technical Manual Westerbeke 33KW EDE D-NET Generator: Recommended Westerbeke 33KW EDE D-NET generators Certified in Air Conditioning (AC) & Refrigeration (R) RecommendedPosition Specifics: Candidate Must have the following to qualify for position.Must have experience of general marine propulsion and or power generation experience in operations, maintenance, repair, or inspections.A minimum of 5 years’ experience will be in specialized marine propulsion or power generation, maintenance, repair or inspection experience at the engineer, technician, planner, designer, foreman, or quality assurance level concentrating on the specific application.Must have extensive knowledge of technical requirements required to maintain and service the aforementioned CRF Marine equipment.Must have ability to identify complex problems and solutions relating to the Marine level of effort.Must have ability to coordinate program requirements, subcontractors, and employees.Must have ability to provide direction to subordinates. Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance. Must be able to travel 25% - 50% of the time to support an on average 90 day rotation between CENTCOM locations and Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek, in Norfolk, VA.Considered subject matter expert in technical specialty. May work directly with customer or customer representatives, attend meetings and deploy for special projects. Ability to manage, oversee, schedule and assign tasks to one or more multiple jobs. Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment. Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance. Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time. Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change. Maintains effective customer communications and relations. May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs. Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments under industrial conditions and in confined spaces. Able to perform other duties as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions. May require wearing a respirator.
