C TechniciansJob DescriptionProvide technical guidance, knowledge, and support of university-managed IT resources including, but not limited to: Networked and Stand-Alone Workstations, Laptops, Mobile Devices and Virtual Desktops, Cloud Services such as Box or Office 365, Local and Networked Printers and Client and Server-Side applications. Exercise excellent customer service skills in support of all faculty and staff members of the University through building relationships, documenting work clearly and completely, following up and following through on your commitments, learning continuously and delivering solid operational metrics.Type of RecruitmentKnowledge, skills and abilitiesConsiderable knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot computer and mobile operating systems (Windows 7/8/8.1/10, MacOS 10.X, Linux, iOS, Android), hardware, software, peripherals. Considerable knowledge of application support and networking in Microsoft and Apple environments (server and/or workstation) to include experience with creating and deploying hard drive images.

Considerable knowledge of supporting Internet-based applications, such as email, web browser, etc. Considerable knowledge of and ability to utilize appropriate system management and security tools in a network environment. Some knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures for computer and communications systems. Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally and effectively with customers, team members, and leadership. Efficient time management to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects and deadlines. Some Understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy. Experience with enterprise-level anti-virus / anti-malware suites. Some experience with virtualization technologies such as Citrix, VMWare and VirtualBox. Considerable experience with remote support applications such as Microsoft Remote Desktop, Dameware, Apple Remote Desktop. Some familiarity with basic scripting in VBScript, Batch or Powershell. CompTIA A+ , Network+ or Security+ certifications.Conditions of Employment40-hour work week Monday-Friday; some evenings and weekends; rotating on call.Annual Salary/Hourly Rate
