Job SummaryLay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural weld forms, such as frames for assembly using knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirements.Key CharacteristicsRead and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics and be able to work from sketches or verbal instructions.Perform precision welding in various positions.Configure welding machines by selecting correct polarity, setting amperage and adjusting shield gas flow rates based on material thickness and type.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssists with other departments as needed.Works with and coordinates activities with other job classifications.Follows safe work practices and all environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.Reads and understands shop orders and bill of materials.Understands how the tools and materials replenishment system operates.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAble to demonstrate a successful TIG weld.Ability to TIG weld stainless.Basic mathematics skills.
