BASIC JOB FUNCTION:
To set up banquet table linens, place settings and center pieces; serve all food and beverages and clear away all dishes and table linens in a professional manner - To serve meals to patrons according to established rules of etiquette. Presents menu to guests, provides food and beverage suggestions, and answers questions regarding food preparation - To mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to patrons. Provide professional service to promote food and beverage sales and follow standard recipes to ensure established control systems are followed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Presents menu, answers questions, and suggests food and beverage items.
2. Takes food and beverage orders.
3. Relays orders to kitchen and serves food to guests
4. Monitors tables in assigned section ensuring all patrons are served.
5. Clears and cleans tables; resets counters and tables.
6. Computes bill and accepts payment; tracks sales receipts.
7. Ensures tips are reported properly for tax processing.
8. Maintains wait station by keeping area tidy and stocks glasses, silverware, and other related supplies.
9. Sets up for tables correctly and uniformly in assigned area
10. Acknowledges and responds to all guest requests
11. Keeps station neat clean during service
12. Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
13. Comply with all liquor laws, health regulations, and company policies
14. Dispense alcoholic beverages and control service to ensure customers in accordance with liquor laws
and company policies and regulations
15. Ensure cleanliness of the bar
16. Perform side duties such as cleaning, garnish preparation, miscellaneous preparation, stocking, etc.
17. Ensure all alcohol is removed from counters and tables prior to closing time. Complete closing duties
18. Performs any other job related duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
1. ServSafe and TIPS certification required at the time employment begins
2. Must be flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
3. High school diploma or equivalent preferred
