Requires:
Technical school diploma or equivalent relevant academic degree(s)
3 Years of work-related experience in electrical/electronic systems
2 Years of full-time experience with computer hardware and/or software engineering at the system level
COTS Operating Systems (e.g. HP-UX, HP-RT, Solaris, PowerMax, RedHat Enterprise Linux) experience
Recent experience in U.S. Naval Combat/Warfare Systems and/or Surface Ship (preferred)
Microsoft Office Suite experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to ascend/descend vertical ladders aboard ships
Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs with or without assistance
Secret clearance
Full-time / Up to 50% travel
Functional Responsibilities:
Provide technical engineering in support of life-cycle engineering; system engineering and integration; research & development engineering; technical and logistical support; configurations management support.
Design, develop, and sustain navy tactical /non-tactical computers support; peripherals and display installations.
Maintain technical laboratory and equipment configuration.
Provide engineering, installation, and technical support of data development, administrative and training of defense for the U.S. Navy and events and/or in multinational programs.
