Seeking mature, dedicated caregivers willing to provide care mornings (9:00A-1:30P), evenings (4:30P-9:00P), and weekends(ALL shifts) for a 90 year old lady with dementia in her home. Mature female caregivers seeking to provide companionship, engagement and compassionate care with dignity and respect, please apply!
Responsibilities
Assist with all ADLs including bathing, dressing, eating, walking, transferring, toileting
Participate and assist in different types of activities
Monitor and document in communication book daily
Maintain clean and tidy environment, including bedrooms
Maintain safe, secure environment
Some meal preparation
Education
High School Diploma (or equivalent), PCA or CNA
Nursing assistant training program completed and/or comparable training and experience
Qualifications
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Speaks clearly and fluently
Valid VA Drivers license and reliable transportation
Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screening
CPR/First Aid certification
Skills
Ability to listen, focus and connect with a positive and patient approach
Attentive (ability to anticipate needs and respond appropriately)
Kind, compassionate and empathetic at all times
Professional, including caregiver appearance
Competent to work alone and handle multiple tasks
Ability to perform well under stress
Good physical strength
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including recordkeeping
Caregiver must also:
Provide caregiver references from families you have assisted
Possess strong organizational and problem-solving caregiver skills
Be extremely patient dedicated and dependable
