Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low voltage systems, including cabling, surveillance, and system design. This role involves working mostly independently to install, maintain, and troubleshoot various low voltage systems in residential and commercial environments.
Responsibilities:
Install and configure low voltage systems, including surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and structured cabling.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on existing systems to ensure optimal performance.
Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for installation tasks.
Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
Document all service work performed and maintain accurate records of installations and repairs.
Detect issues in system performance and implement corrective measures promptly.
Provide field service support as needed, responding to service calls in a timely manner.
Stay updated on the latest technologies related to low voltage systems and remote access software.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role in the low voltage industry.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with computer hardware related to low voltage systems.
Familiarity with cabling standards and installation practices.
Experience with surveillance systems is highly desirable.
Ability to work independently in the field while managing time effectively.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration within the team.
IT & Networking experience is a Bonus!
