The Business Analyst is responsible for identifying and implementing tracking tools, process improvement and reporting solutions for a Vaco client in the personal tax return space.
Responsibilities:
Writing SQL queries, familiarizing yourself with new data source schemas, and building/maintaining reporting dashboards for clients based on their needs
Devise and implement process improvements to existing workflows, that may include but are not limited to:
Spreadsheet scripts & macros
Chrome extensions
ETL technologies
Creating web-based tools
Document all projects to ensure efficient knowledge transfer between team members and stakeholders
Prioritize incoming requests based on urgency and impact
Maintain clear communication with Operations Managers and other stakeholders regarding progress of their requests
Work together with other members of the CoE team to ensure the best implementation of individual requests using all available skill sets
Requirements:
Undergraduate degree or 3 years of equivalent work experience
Demonstrable proficiency in SQL
Track record of success at devising simple solutions to complex problems with the end user in mind
Ability to work independently, and with people across time zones and locations
