RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Principal Network Architect in Reston, VA.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership or direction on innovative research associated with complex telecommunications, internetworking, and data networks, converged networks projects, and network interoperability and integration
Provide in-depth analysis on transport layer architectures, emerging protocols and technologies, and knowledge transfer and repositories associated with converged networks
Troubleshoot complex networking issues that cannot be resolved quickly by other team members
Provide mentoring to junior and senior level engineers on the team
Provide day-to-day support of multiple specialty engineers in highly complex telecommunications, internetworking, or data network projects
Work on developing solutions for multiple contracts including developing whitepapers, and participating in proposals
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or Mathematics
CCNP Enterprise and/or CCIE Certification
15+ years of experience operating, managing and design networks
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Expert level knowledge of Cisco Router/switches and IGP/EGP routing protocols
Experience with Palo Alto Next Generation Firewalls and Panorama
Experience with managing and implementing Network Access Control
Experience with networking tools for monitoring performance as well as configuration management
Experience performing Analysis of Alternatives for different solutions and creating road maps for customers
Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
Strong written and oral communication skills
