DescriptionA growing government contractor in the Dulles, VA corridor is seeking a Staff Accountant to support their close-knit accounting division. This confident Staff Accountant will have exposure to billing, invoicing, cash receipt reconciliation and expense report coding and processing. As you continue to develop your accounting acumen, you will enhance your knowledge while assisting in month end close procedures, bi-weekly payroll and 1099 reporting. The ideal candidate will have exposure to Deltek CostPoint, Oracle or a large ERP with a strong command of Microsoft Excel (including V Look Ups, Formulas and Pivot Tables). The Staff Accountant will collaborate with Department Heads, Project Managers, vendors, contractors and the internal finance team to support accounting functions, analyze unbilled receivables and reconcile journal entries for FP, T&M, CPFF contracts. The Staff Accountant will gain valuable exposure to the preparation of cash projections, financial reporting and analysis. 3+ years’ experience in billing, invoicing, expense reporting, cash receipts, FP, T&M and CPFF federal contracts knowledge
Proficiency in Deltek CostPoint
Experience with high volume Accounts Payable invoice processing (3 way match functions)
Advanced command of Microsoft Excel (V Look Ups, Pivot Tables, Formulas)
Thrives in direct communication with internal team, customers and clients to clarify, resolve and complete tasks to meet deadlines
Assists with preparation of cash projections, project billing and audit inquiries with attention to detail
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Finance or related discipline
