This position will provide many opportunities to challenge and grow your skills as an SE.

A successful candidate will provide sound, efficient SE to create, maintain, update, modernize, and refresh the capabilities and components to the NMCI. The candidate will utilize an MBSE approach that provides rigor, repeatability, and flexibility to support the needs of the customer. The Systems Engineer coordinates with project managers, customers, stakeholders, and engineers to support ongoing operational activities as well as new projects to maintain, transform, and modernize the NMCI.

What You'll Get to Do:
Support aspects of system engineering for SMIT, to include technical planning, design, development, integration, assessment, and requirements analysis, as well as future capability needs (near and long-term) to drive the design and maintain an IT Enterprise.
Significant collaboration and coordination with external customers, management, subcontractors, vendors, and other engineering disciplines.
Comply with ITSM processes and procedures.
Comply with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) governance and use MBSE tools.
Analyze, evaluate, and plan methods of approach to provide solutions.
Develop systems engineering artifacts such as system engineering plans, requirements specifications, and design documents.
Analyze Requirements. Derive, decompose, and maintain technical, non-technical, functional, and non-functional requirements from an understanding of stakeholder needs, logical inference, and applicable policies and laws.
Validate requirements with stakeholders.
Create and maintain requirements traceability to source documents, other requirements, test plans, and system architecture.
Collaborate with technical experts to synthesize solution architectures and designs from requirements and constraints.
Maintain SE documentation throughout the system lifecycle and provide systems engineering support to other activities, such as software development, hardware configuration, verification testing, installation, deployment, operations, and maintenance.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Requires B.S. Degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience (in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university).
Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active Secret clearance to start the program.
