SAIC seeks a talented systems engineer with wireless experience to support a range of technical functions to help the customer advance their technical mission objectives. This position is part of a 5 year program providing support to an operationally-focused customer in Reston, VA. The successful candidate will be well-versed in the tools and systems used by the customer to enable support to ongoing projects and activities to help drive mission success. The candidate must be self-driven, with strong attention to detail, organization and collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Responsibilities Include:
Support the full range of wireless-related activities for the customer, helping them execute current projects to meet technical objectives and plan for future projects and activities
Advise and interface with development contractors to ensure systems meet technical objectives
Draft documents related to projects to include SOWs, SRDs, CONOPs, etc. as well as technical roadmaps
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Bachelor's degree and 6+ years relevant experience (additional 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)
Knowledge of wireless technologies and protocols
Understanding of RF propagation to include antennas
Experience creating visual technical products, using tools such as PowerPoint, to support briefings and reviews
Desired Qualifications
Degree in an engineering field
Experience developing and executing test and verification plans
Experience working with cellular and computer-based operating systems including Android and Linux operating systems and tools
Experience working with cellular radio access technologies such as 3G, 4G and WiFi
Experience with networking protocols
Familiarity with technology trends in the wireless domain
