A family with six-year-old girl/boy twins is looking for a live-in nanny in Richmond within walking distance to University of Richmond. Living with an on-call surgeon and a concert violinist who works many evenings and weekends, the nanny will need to be flexible with hours worked due to the parent’s varying shifts and busy work schedules.
Care will be required on weekdays from wake-up to drop off (8:30am) every morning, most afternoons (3pm-dinner time), and 2 weekday nights. Saturdays and Sundays will be off
The nanny will have paid holidays/breaks when the family is traveling up to 3 weeks per year. The nanny will have her own private room and bathroom with an entrance through the garage vs the front door. This will be the second live-in nanny the family has employed with the first nanny living there for six years. This is an ideal position for someone who is planning to move to Richmond to either study or enjoy city life.
Skills and qualities required
● A minimum of one to two years childcare experience
● A minimum of one year’s nanny experience within the past three years
● Physical ability to be a nanny which may include an ability to lift, push, pull, carry 25 lbs., stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and bend at waist.
● Legal US resident
● Non- smoker
● Over the age of 21
● Able to swim
● Certificates in CPR/First Aid
● Successful candidate must pass a detailed background check
● Must have clean driving records and be a safe and confident driver
● Must have access to a safe, reliable and clean car
● Good communication skills - active listening, understanding and clarifying instructions, clear verbal communication with children, parents and coworkers and able to record details accurately
