The Cloud Services Architect is an information technology (IT) expert responsible for the general development and design of robust and scalable platforms including hybrid and multi-cloud environments, with a focus on DevOps techniques, cloud migration, and Infrastructure-as-Code. Serves as the Cloud Subject Matter specialist for executing and overseeing cloud computing strategy with responsibilities including cloud infrastructure design, adoption plans, governance model, monitoring processes as well as cloud support capabilities and processes. Actively contributes their knowledge as a Subject Matter Expert towards modern software development techniques and design of cloud services utilizing recent technologies and evolving architecture Works with PFG business leaders and IT teams to design technical solutions and ensure that the solution meets and evolves with our business needs. Responsible for the overall integrity of the solution and must have knowledge of the existing system set and applicable IT standards. Possesses in-depth knowledge of the product implementation process, design documentation standards, and industry best practices. The Cloud Services Architect is a seasoned design expert who is delivery-oriented and has experience in the technology and service life cycles starting from requirements analysis through design, development and operations, especially experience with modern application development lifecycles. Collaborates with other functional and technical team members and stays current with major changes in roadmaps and company strategy. Interacts with the business and IT on strategic planning for successful upgrades and deployments. This role entails negotiating with stakeholders, understanding the needs of all parties, managing risks, and product delivery. The Cloud Services Architect must understand the Corporate strategy and business processes that define how a company achieves its strategic goals, as well as technical specifics. The Cloud Services Architect must have background in Infrastructure-as-Code, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Application Testing and Monitoring, PowerShell, Azure Functions, and Git
