Position InformationJob DescriptionThis is an hourly position. Employees are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week on average and a total of 1500 hours per wage calendar year. No state benefits included.The Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice’s App Development Unit is seeking a highly motivated, skilled, and experienced individual to support developing, implementing, and maintaining documentation pertaining to business processes, systems operation, and other technical processes for the agency’s electronic data management system. The individual will: research, review, and collect technical information related to guidance documents; manage document storage, archiving, and retrieval; work independently and collaboratively with intra-agency workgroups to develop, review, and update guidance documents; and provide guidance documents to end-users to ensure appropriate use of the electronic data management system. Some travel required.Minimum QualificationsDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholder groups. Ability to organize and lead meetings. Knowledge of analysis, planning, evaluation, and training techniques. Knowledge of data organization and storage. Demonstrated ability to be highly organized and process-oriented with a strong attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Ability to maintain a high level of organization, meet tight deadlines, and to work independently and productively.Preferred QualificationsDegree from a college or university in the fields of Information Technology, social or behavioral sciences, public or business administration, or a related field.
