Job Description:

The Network Risk Lead ensures Network Operations function within the BOFA established risk framework and will be the primary interface, on behalf of Network Operations, the relationships with Internal & External audit, Compliance, Enterprise risk and key partners.

The Network Risk Lead acts as the escalation point where necessary and will simplify and optimize our network services standalone processes to ensure sustainability, effectiveness and compliance to Laws rules and regulations. Key in collaborating within Network Services to create partnerships with central risk teams, audit, GIS and leverage best practices to ensure risk within networks are fully documented and managed.

The Network Risk Lead will be tasked with process creation, process sustainability and network standardization. Also, tracking & reporting of both the Identification and resolution of risk within Network Operations and resolution. The role requires strong communication and leadership skills, candidates are required to drive collaboration with teammates across organizations (Technology, Operations, Audit, GIS etc.) and with the management team to identify opportunities to improve control and reduce risk.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and adhere to a set of written policies that include front line unit risk limits, which are reviewed and approved by independent risk management and which ensure risks associated with the front line unit's activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored and controlled
  • Establish and adhere to procedures and processes, as necessary, to maintain compliance with the policies
  • Adhere to all applicable policies, procedures and processes established by independent risk management, including compliance with risk limits
  • Proactively assess its capabilities to manage all risk types and determine if actions need to be taken to strengthen front line unit management of risk
  • Self-identify material shortcomings and required improvements in risk management capabilities consistent with our goal to find issues and remediate them in a timely manner
  • Proactively and fully assess all risks, including compliance and operational risks, associated with its activities and adjust its risk profile as needed


Required Skills/ Experience
  • 3-5 years' Experience as a Risk/ Control Manager
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and control
  • Experience with auditing and reporting procedures
  • Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to lead discussions and influence others
  • Comfortable with ambiguous situations, capable of analyzing, simplifying and collaborating to solve complex problems
  • Strategic thinkers, self-starter, organized, versatile, and capable of performing work with minimal management oversight
  • Ability to connect dots and understand impacts of the work that is done and how it can tie into other areas within the team and across GT&O
  • MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills


Desired Skills:
  • ITIL Certification
  • BS/BA Degree
